Comments: Dr. Cranton is the leading expert in chelation therapy, and this book is clearly the most up-to-date review of how this therapy is done, the historical background, and the scientific data that show its value in the treatment of heart disease and other vascular disease.
If you want to know the details of this therapy, don't ask your doctor--this is the book to read. In spite of opposition to chelation therapy by the mainstream medical community, this textbook tells the real truth about it. It is hard to find valid, scientifically backed information about chelation, and if you ask your doctor, you will likely be led away from this valuable therapy that is better documented than bypass surgery and angioplasty.
While you may need some scientific background to understand all of the material, most readers will be able to understand enough to get a clear picture.
The book is well organized. For doctors interested in more information about chelation, this is a great place to start. With the protocol for treatment, you will have a good guide to this therapy.
Other books strictly for the layperson do not go into such detail and show you how the treatment is done, although they may be less technical for the less serious reader.

Summary: Outstanding source of information about Chelation Therapy.
Comments: I read "Forty Something Forever" during the fall of 1996, and began Chelation Therapy that year with an M.D. referenced in the book. There is a vast amount of summary information available in this book, and it is a spring board to greater understanding of Chelation Therapy.
I would recommend the book to anyone who is looking for an alternative to bypass surgery. I have had excellent results, and my life has changed since I began Chelation Therapy!

Summary: CHELATION THERAPY SAVED BOTH OF MY PARENTS' LIVES !
Comments: I'm not joking!
My dad is an MD and was skeptical when my mom (herself an RN) insisted on having Chelation Therapy over 10 years ago. My mom was not far from the exit from this life from many different ailments (including arteries which were 90% clogged). After several treatments, mom's health perked up so much that my dad became a believer and went in for Chelation Therapy himself (his arteries were also mostly clogged). Mom and Dad are still alive and in pretty good health.
My uncle had serious heart disease caused by clogged arteries, and was already in line to get open heart surgery when mom told him about what Chelation Therapy did for her. So my uncle dropped his open-heart surgery for the Chelation Therapy and never looked back.
My copy of the book is the 1990 printing of the book that my mom gave me after she became a "convert." I have been spreading the word to anybody I know who has heart problems.

Summary: A safe and inexpensive alternative to bypass
Comments: Bypass surgery is dangerous, expensive, and doesn't work very well. Chelation is safe, inexpensive and highly effective. Now what can possibly explain this? Hmm...maybe the difference between God and a doctor is that God doesn't think he's a doctor. Chelation, a technique that has been around for several decades, is done in a doctor's office: it cleans out arteries, and also pulls dangerous heavy metals from the body. It involves nothing more than putting an IV in the patient's arm for a couple of hours. If I was facing bypass surgery, I would certainly look into this.

Summary: Mind opening, life changing
Comments: Dr. Cranton's book was the first I had read about possibilities beyond what traditional medicine insists are the only alternatives: bypass, angioplasty, heart catheterization, etc. (Notice that all of these treatments hurt, are dangerous, and often don't work.) My husband had just had a mild heart attack; and we had the good fortune to be in touch with one of the contributors to Dr. Cranton's book, a cardiologist who took my husband as a patient. He describes traditional treatment as "The Widow Maker." We studied Cranton, began chelation, and are healthier, 6 years later, than we've been in 20 years. This is valid information about a non-invasive and non-painful process.
