Summary: Every Energy Healer Needs this Book!
Comments: Don't let the title of HEALING WITH THE RAINBOW RAYS mislead you -- there is much more than just color therapy involved here. Alijandra has done an excellent job of bringing several different healing techniques (color, sound, crystals, herbs, movement) together in one ambitious reference book. The basic techniques of grounding, balancing, protection, and clearing energy are described, as are the chakra and endocrine system. Additionally, the essential art of dealing with psychic hooks and chakra blocks are included.
I was delighted to be able to make immediate use of the concept of working with the rainbow rays of color for self-healing. In just a few minutes, with the aid of a simple color visualization technique, I cleared out a long-standing pattern of fear which had resided in the cells of my body for most of my life (a kind of background noise that I had become accustomed to). I'm grateful to have noticed tremendous and lasting improvement from such a simple exercise. HEALING WITH THE RAINBOW RAYS is valuable for healers of every level of experience, since Alijandra takes care to explain basic terms and also outline some rather advanced exercises such as: time travel, teleportation, levitation, invisibility, and shapeshifting. Another unexpected surprise about this book is it's coverage of the "black ray" -- an often overlooked color in healing.
I recommend this book to anyone with an open mind to seeing the world in new ways, and most especially to anyone who wishes to heal themselves or others.

The authors first explain each technique and how it works. They also provide detailed instructions so that readers can use each method for self-healing. The bulk of the book is devoted to "An A to Z of illnesses and their treatment" that enables readers to apply Zone Therapy and Color Therapy in combination to alleviate specific ailments. Readers are first advised to become aware of the causes of their ailment. This involves understanding how negative thoughts and attitudes affect health. They are then taught affirmations that will help them replace negativity with "positive permanent thinking replacement." Each disease has its own healing color and its own particular zone pressure points. "Zone Therapy uses physical stimulus, while Color Therapy works through more intangible stimuli, ie the emotions." Comments: Ever feel like something's just not right? You've been feeling blah but you aren't sad? Feel out of synch? Not harmonized? Then you need this book.
The Rainbow in your Life talks about how different colours affect you and they way you think and act. There is a GREAT quiz that helps you decide what colours you should be wearing, eating, decorating with and more. Some of the questions in the quiz are "What is your favourite season?" "Review your wardrobe and list the three most predominant colours," and "List the three dominant colours in your bathroom." These questions and more will help you see if your are surrounding yourself with the right colours. Once you figure out your colour(s), you can go to the appropriate section and see suggestions on lighting, food, fashion and how your colour(s) affect your family, career, health, relationships, friends and even vehicles.
You will also find info on the different types of colour: neons and pastels, different tones, monochromatic and more. The book has instructions on creating your own Colour Mandala to aid in meditation. There are even small sections on Auras and Dreams.
This book is HIGHLY recommended.

Summary: Depends what you're looking for...
Comments: This book assumes you are already familiar with the principles of reflexology - in other words, if you don't know reflexology, don't start with this book! The color therapy material is useful, however, and if that's what you are looking for, you should enjoy the book. There are a lot of color-based meditation exercises, as well.
