Cory Everson: Get Hard: Arms and Shoulders
ASIN: 6303203264

Customer's Rating: 5
Summary: Great personal training in a video!
Comments: Very easy to follow. Slow, precise movements. Go through all the weight lifting exercises and repitions with Cory Everson. I feel fantastic after the workout. It motivates me to make healthy meal choices throughout the rest of the day because I focus more on what my muscles need to perform and grow, rather than what my emotions want me to devour. I am seeing definition in my shoulders and arms. Highly recommended for the home gym.
Cory Everson: Basic Sculpting System - Abs, Backs, Biceps

Summary: balanced, effective strength routine
Comments: The only reason this video didn't get 5 stars is the pull-up bar exercise that most home exercisers don't have. Other than that, it's really good. Cory does 3 or 4 exercises for each body part, with 2 sets of 12 reps each. Regarding the review above, there is no need to pause the tape and do more reps because you are supposed to choose a heavy enough weight that you will not be able to do more than 12 reps. However, if you felt ambitious and wanted to do a third set you would need to pause (but I doubt you'll have the energy). The entire sculpting series is excellent- her chest, shoulders, and triceps being the best.
Cory Everson: Get Hard: Abs and Glutes

Summary: Excellent ab workout
Comments: I have an entire library full of exercise videos, and this tape by far has the best ab routine. I use the ab portion of this tape anywhere from 3-6 times a week, and I can still feel the burn during each workout. The glute portion of the tape works well, but the ab portion literally can't be beat. I highly recommend this tape for great results.

Summary: Disappointing,Waste of$!Exercises not as the title suggested
Comments: There are hundreds of fitness video targeting for thighs, butt, stomach but I couldn't find any tapes tagaretting on arms and chests. So I decided to order this tape from amazon at once.
I was very exciting when I received it so I immediately put it in my machine, then after 5 mins of gabbling(her accent is annoying btw), the actual workout still has not begun. Then I realised some of the exercises required a bench but it hasn't been mentioned on the tape cover. Worst is, the whole workout is only 35 mins long, so I was left with less than 10 mins for each exercises group after all the "introduction". I wouldn't hv complained if the exercises are effective and/or if Cory has brought in something new, but these are just standard exercises that u can easily find in a fashion magazine(note: not even fitness magazine)

Summary: Great Video!
Comments: I was given this video by one of my friends and didn't use it for a long time. Then I pulled it out one day to give it a try. It is one of the best workout videos I have. It doesn't require any major products and can be done in your basement. The video concentrates on using your own resistance and you can really FEEL the burn. The next day I could barely walk! The video has a great warmup and cooldown and even though there isn't any cardio in it you really work up a sweat. I reccomend this video to everyone. Cory rocks!

Summary: A very good video for intermediate exercisers
Comments: With all due respect to Terri's review below, I have a question: Were we watching the same video?
I consider myself to be an intermediate exerciser, having worked out on a regular basis for about 5 years. I'd been thinking about getting a lower body only tape; I finally chose this because I also have Cory's Get Hard Arms and Shoulders (excellent) and Kardio Kick (a decent kickboxing tape for beginners or a light cardio day for intermediate/advanced exercisers), and I like her style.
As others have noted, Cory includes gym machines in this tape, but she concentrates (and is front and center) teaching the home version. This is NOT a gym only workout (if it were, I wouldn't have hesitated to return it). Since she does the reps slowly, you can use as heavy weights as you want. (Beginners may want to learn proper form first before using this tape since she only gives a few form pointers.) She really works the quadriceps, calves, and hamstrings well, and even throws in some abs work at the end (basic crunches). Note that you may want to use ankle weights for some of the exercises, and the calf step ups require a step.
Another exercise she does is called a Good Morning. Although I'd heard of it, I'd never done this one before; it works the lower back. I'd caution anyone who hasn't done this before to do it the first couple of times without weights (Cory pretty much says the same thing). The first time I did it, I felt a little tug down there, so I immediately got rid of the weights. Anyone with back problems should probably just skip this exercise.
A couple of not so good things: 1. No warm up (she *does* stretch between sets) and 2. She has you putting on and taking off ankle weights instead of doing all the ankle weighted exercises together. The warm up you can do on your own, so that was no big deal. As for No. 2, it irritated me at first, but I've since gotten used to it.
All in all, a very good tape. I give it an A-. And if you want some more reviews, pro and con, check out www.videofitness.com (click on Video Reviews).

Summary: Cory Everson's Total Body Workout
Comments: This video hit all the spots most women have troubles with. Cory's videos are really good. She's very positive. I weight train 4 days a week and do Aerobis on my alternating day's, this is a great alternating day workout. It is also good for beginer's. I'm a certified personal trainer and have been exercising for 17 years not to many workouts are really a challange, still looking for one . If you'll try this one you may like it, it's great for starters. Keep Moviated! Good luck!

Summary: Unique Video w/ Separate Target Combinations
Comments: I admit, I wasn't sure about this video when I first tried it. She introduces moves by doing them half time (I never saw that technique before) and combines step with some seemingly light floor aerobics (dragging your foot doing the "attitude" step, etc.). I did not think it would give me a very good workout. Then I noticed how tired I was after working out to this video. I realized I was getting a great workout even if the moves seemed easy. What I like most about this video is that it is divided in several unique parts that focus on certain areas of the body (i.e. shoulders, thighs, back, triceps, etc.) Since there are so many completely different combinations, it does not get boring and I feel I'm getting a total body workout. The music and backdrop are a little weird (outer space scenes, etc.). Also, I'd be careful with the warmup. They do "bouncing" stretches which I've heard is unsafe (I just stretch out without the bounces). The ab routine could have been longer (that's often the case with step videos). I like the move they do for the sides of the abs. They lay on their sides and push themselves up into an arch. I've never seen that done before and it is highly effective.
