Comments: I love this video! I have been using it for the past 2 months and have lost 20 pounds and continue to use it daily...I didn't find any flaws that distracted me from the basic principal of the video. While Gay does mix up her left and rights now and then, it didn't throw me off at all. I found the tips and high impact option to be very helpful. The basic portion of the video is wonderfully easy and a great warm up! I would recommend this video to beginners and pros alike! It has something for everyone!

Comments: When I first realized that I was gaining a few pounds, I decided to take action. I bought the Buns and Thighs and Fat Burner tapes and used them each every other day. Within two months, I had more toned legs and a flatter stomach. I am in the process of acquiring Awesome Abs/Sensational Step, and the two Advanced Abs tapes, and I will write a review for them as soon as I can see a difference. GASPER IS THE BEST!

Summary: Great for the Busy Person!
Comments: This video set has become one of my favorite workout regimens!
What I like best about them is that each video packs an intense
workout in 23 minutes (that includes warm-up and cool down)! When I was working two jobs and did not have the time or energy to complete the usual 45 minute to hour+ aerobics tapes, these workouts kept my daily exercise routine going (I've now gone 9 months without missing a day's workout!).
First off, this set offers a fun and unique 23-minute intermediate step workout. The techno music is great and the movements are fast, peepy with perfect cueing!
Second, this set offers an excellent 23-minute ab workout. So few step videos include a decent ab routine. Most only give you about 4 or 5 crunch styles at 8 reps each. Abs are my troubled area and I know from experience that one needs to work them out long and hard to get results. I really feel the burn when I use this tape. Gasper includes a lot of stretching and resting between crunches, but I choose to keep going to get an even better workout! After using this tape for a couple of weeks, I used a weight machine for crunches and felt my ab muscles like never before! I still have a long way to go, but I think I've finally found the workout to get the results I want! I plan on getting a couple of other Gay Gasper sets. I can see either using one a day or mixing two different workouts per day to maintain variety and create workouts based on the time one has available. The only problem I have with them is that they are on two video cassettes (taped on EP!). Both workouts (probably even four) could fit on one video. I just feel using two tapes is wasting materials, but that's just a criticism of the packaging, not the workouts.

Summary: Good For Variety In Your Established Workout Vid Collection
Comments: By no means would I use this as my prime exercise video but it's nice in terms of solidity and total body conditioning -- It's got both cardio and strength training in two separate sections. The good things about this video also include the fact that it's easy in terms of choreography...very basic moves but some are quite challenging to do. Not dancey {"music" is basically cadence} in the least, which is great for uncoordinated people like me who just want to concentrate on the cardio benefits and not memorize a bunch of steps! Straightforward, no-nonsense exercising. However, I just can't give this video a really high score -- I can't quite put my finger on the problem with it, which is not good in terms of my reviewing it but I'm being honest. Something is lacking as far as making you want to pluck this from the rest of your collection and getting psyched about doing it...It has a slight dismal quality to it which is hard to describe. Yes, it's done in 'military style' but that's not it...Maybe it's due to not-so-hot production quality. Maybe it's Gay's cardboard cast...Who knows, but do I regret owning it? No. Worth a try only if you want no 'cheerleaders,' no fluff, and a simple cardio/strength workout {actual workout times are about 20 minutes per segment plus warm-up/cooldown}.
Gay Gasper The Next Step: Intermediate and Advanced

Summary: Fast, Easy, and Compact Workouts!
Comments: This set is the second of the Gay Gasper two-tape series I bought. Both workouts are very fast-paced and are over before you know it. I estimated a 6-minute warm up, 13 minute workout and 5 minute cool down for each tape. If you are a busy person and find you do not have enough time for most workout tapes that take 50 minutes to an hour and a half to complete, these tapes make an effective alternative. You get a stimulating workout in half the time. The advanced step workout, in particular, makes you break out a major sweat from the first step to the last. I like to combine these step videos with Gasper's abs and buns tapes to get a well-balanced 50 minute workout. The only problem I have with this set is that her warmup and cool down routines are the same for both tapes. The routines weren't even re-taped, they are exactly the same. Changing them up for either the advanced or intermediate tape would have added more variety.
Gay Gasper: Lean Body and Stretch Routine

Summary: Lean Body is a solid workout with several annoying flaws.
Comments: I can only comment on the Lean Body tape, as I received this tape without the stretch routine. Although the workout itself is made up of good, traditional strength/toning exercises using dumbells and a bench, there were several things I disliked about this video. First of all, prior to each exercise, there is a separate segment in which the move is explained in detail. Although this would be helpful to someone who is just beginning to work with weights, I think those who have any familiarity with weight training would find these segments to be cumbersome and distracting. My second problem is with the instructors. Gay herself is okay, although during much of the video, she has a fake-looking smile plastered on her face--I just did not find her to be genuine or motivating. Working out with Gay is another woman and a muscle-bound guy. From watching the video, you would think that the guy is in charge, not Gay, as she frequently asks him how to do things (eg, "How are we breathing here?"). In addition, he makes comments to Gay that I found to be condescending and annoying; their interactions seemed very sexist to me. In summary, this is a solid strength workout, but I just couldn't get past its flaws.
