Comments: I like this workout and felt results immediately. I've never taken a Pilates class, but I understand this is pretty close, if not identical, to Pilates techniques, so I'm not sure why Jennifer Kries is taking so much credit.
I also want to tweak her head off when she says she's working out both legs because her method relies on symmetry -- as if other methods only work one side of the body. And what's with the "Classic Method Rollup"? It's not a "classic" if it's a new method. Is it a classic Pilates rollup?
Time will tell if Kries gets less irritating to me over repeated viewings, or if I finally get a straight-on Pilates video to replace this.

Comments: No disrespect, but she must have been thinking of a differnt tape. The instructor does not wear a headset at any point in the tape, and there are no aerobic moves whatsoever...
This tape is awesome, my favorite workout tape. No jerky movements at all. The routine is smooth and focused and very effective. You will feel the results the first time you use it. Jennifer Kreis is great. The first half is an upper body workout with light weights, the second half is a fabulous and fun workout that really targets the abs and glutes. I agree with some of the other reviewers, the "push-up" routine is the best, and don't worry you don't have to be able to do many traditional push ups to do it at all. It's very unique and you really will feel taller after this one!
Pilates Method and 3- Dimensional Toning Box Set

Summary: FLEXIBILITY,TONING AND A LITTLE LIGHT CARDIO.
Comments: This is a set of two (pilates, ballet and yoga influenced)videos.The first video is called 3 D toning which has a thirty minutes standing ballet/yoga section,which focuses on mainly hips and thighs,it then concludes,with twenty minutes of pilates mat core conditioning floorwork which concentrates on the abs and legs, this is my favorite video because it stretches me out and makes me feel elongated,flexible and like a dancer.
The second video has twenty minutes of upper body toning with light weights for your arms and chest,it then moves on to the lower body sculpting for your legs,then finally concludes with a yoga type workout with classical dance and stretching.
I recommend this two pack, for overall toning,and to increase flexibility.It is a good beginner to intermediate tape, however the dance moves can be a bit confusing at first but I would suggest watching a few time first,because with practice it can become very enjoyable once you get the moves down.
Advanced could also do it on a light toning day but if you were looking for a pilates/dance type workout to challenge you, then I would suggest getting Pilates Perfect Mix by the same instructor.
ACTUALLY GET ALL THREE! if you love fusions you wont regret it.

Summary: Fitness Fun
Comments: I love this video! I love that it is split up into four sections. Each section is made to work out a specific body part-but you're really working out everything. It is really good if you just have 15-20 minutes in the morning/evening and you want to do something to get your energy up-or you just want to work out. J. Kries is wonderful-my mother is 55 years old and I have to beg her not to steal the video when she comes and visits.

Summary: Cool and fun
Comments: This should banish any perception that all ThePageTurner does is sit on her patootie and read. I look forward to doing this tape--so much, in fact, that I have bought the whole Method series and mix and match workouts every day. I have never found any workout I enjoy as much, or which provides such nice results.
Therefore you can imagine my surprise at all the negative reviews for this tape. Yes, there are several miscues that should have been re-shot. However, they will not throw anyone doing the routine off after the first time through. Although there is no yoga in this series, the workout reminds me of yoga in that the more you do it, the more you realize have to learn.
The first part, the warm-up, is easy to follow with excellent concentration on expanding and contracting your center. The second section is a dance segment with weight training interspersed. It will take you several times to get the routine down, but I stuck with it because it is just plain fun to do and you feel great afterward. The last part is abdominal work-the first abdominal routine I have been able to do without hurting my neck.
There's a draped, faux-classical set and these hip drums accompanying the dancers. The instructors are likeable, and you will walk taller and feel more elegant in your movements after a few go-rounds with the All-in-One Workout. I also like the Method Target Specifics tape, but I must confess that some of the sinuous movements in the All-in-One make this tape my favorite.

Summary: An Important Part of My Exercise Regime
Comments: This is one of those videos I do when I want to stretch and tone rather than pump up my heart rate. Its extremely convenient as it consists of three separate programs which are each about 20 minutes long.
Program one consists mainly of sun salutations and warrior poses. Program Two concentrates on arm and leg stretches and balancing poses. Program Three focuses on breathing and relaxation which are great to do to induce sleep or relieve stress. I mainly practise Programs one and Program Two.
For me, this tape is great to do when you don't want to go the whole nine yards and do a full 60 minutes, although obviously you can do all three programs if so desired. The point is, this tape is great for a moderate workout. Jennifer Kries is a great instructor, this is the yoga leg of her 'Method' triangle of Pilates, dance and yoga techniques to keep one and all in pretty good shape. Her style is straightfoward and compelling; her good-natured encouragement and bright smile forces you to keep trying.
If you are a yoga beginner, it may take a while to fully understand each pose, especially the sun salutations and warrior positions. I whole heartedly recommend Jennifer Kries companion book to this tape and all her other Method tapes entitled: 'Pilate Plus Method' which provides adequate photos and step by step instruction and explanation on all the poses---then the minimal amount of instruction employed on this tape will be appreciated and keep the flow moving as it is so intended.
New Method - Perfect Mix

Comments: As an instructor, Jennifer has a lot of knowledge but not much on screen personality. The Pilates section wasn't inspired, and had several variations on the complete roll up that aren't doable, and are even dangerous for a beginner. But in her defense, they describe the Pilates section as intermediate/advanced.
The second section though is fun. It combines a dance work out (not an aerobics work out) with weights. I used to take dance at a Hanya Holm style dance school, and it makes me really miss the classes I took there.
I haven't tried the third section yet, but I'm hopeful.

Summary: 4 types of workout in one DVD...
Comments: Since I discovered Ms. Jennifer Kries workouts DVD's a year ago, I become a huge fan and have almost all her DVD's and Videos. She is my personal home trainer! and her workouts changed my body's look and posture.
This DVD is one of the best out there. The DVD has two workout segments{ you can do both or one at a time,if you are a very busy person}. Workout 1 is a combination of jazz, ballet and yoga moves {30 mins.}Workout 2 is a classic Pilates core conditioning moves{20 mins}. Both workouts are invigorating and exciting. If you are a total begginer, pls be patient bec. she doesn't stop and explain. She talks while doing the moves, you need to position yourself where you can see her while doing the moves but when you come to the point where you knew the moves by heart all you have to do is listen to her voice.
I like itbec. it doesn't bore you and you constantly moving}you will master the moves in time and you will be glad she's not one
of those instructor who thinks you are so clueless!
My advice is to watch the tape first.
She always reminds you about breathing and just to do the moves to your capacity. She is freakingly limber so don't despair if you found out you are nowhere near her capacity.
The DVD also includes tips from the expert. They discuss about how the physical wellness improves the quality of our lives. The DVD feature music only segments,if you already master the moves and tired of listening to the talk.{ Jennifer is not tiring to listen at all, she has a pleasant voice and personality, not at all intimidating}
If you are looking for a variety and new kind of workout in one setting, try this and you won't be dissapointed.
Crosstrain with other of her workouts Precision Pilates and Perfect Mix. Another of her bests, you won't be lost with the moves bec. some of it are introduced or repeated in these 3 DVD workouts.
I also recommend the other Ms Kries workouts :
1.The method:Scuplting,{pilates standing series with 2 to 3 lbs weight.
2Dance to fitness (jazz and aerobics},
3.Target Specifics:ABS{pilates moves}, Arms pilates standing series with 3lbs weight}, Legs{ballet and pilates leg series} and thigh{ yoga/ballet}. Each segments is 15 mins.long.
Have a good workout and you will see the difference it makes in your body in no time!
Pilates Method - Precision Pilates

Comments: Like her other workouts DVD's, this one delivers as well.
You need 2 or 3 lbs weight on this workout, you only need this in the first segment. The workouts are divided into 3 segments.First segment is Upper body{Pilates standing sculpting series}.Simple yet effective and not your usual arms workout. Second segment is Lower Body, she combines yoga and ballet moves plus pilates leg series. You will love this part if you are tired of squats and whatnot and want something new. The third segment is called flow and flexibility which is to me an awesome, awesome stretch! It's not just your typical stretch, but {as Ms. Kries words} it feels like a dance{ slow moving dance}.
I noticed the change in my body and posture. My backaches are gone and you will not get tired of doing her workout. It is always fun to do.I have been doing Ms. Kries types of workout for almost a year now and I'm still not bored with it{I also purchased other DVD's of Ms. Kries workouts}.My body is noticeably tone esp. the abs section and it always makes you feel invigorated that you will look forward doing the workout again the next day. Ms Kries is very inspiring and a good motivator. If you are a total begginer,or not familiar with Ms. Kries style watch the tape first bec. she's moving while talking.Position yourself where you can see her movement. It will get a lot easier when you familiarize the moves{ maybe in 3 sessions} You will appreciate this technique when you know the moves and you will not be wasting your time reaching the remote to forward.
Try her and you will be glad you did.
