You also really get you moneys worth with this video she doesn't waste your time with alot of fluff .This tape is packed with different steps.We took dance classes at one time and we paid alot and gained so little in return. Learning via video is the way to go in my opinion. The only reason we didn't give the 5 star rating is that apparently she originally had the step count wrong and to correct it she does a voice over count which irritated my husband the perfectionest.But over all well done Josie!

The progression from lesson to lesson is easy and quick. The quality of production is quite high. The teachers are absolutely superb. Their footwork, movements, and rhythm are amazing to watch. I am not an advanced dancer, but I was able to learn the basic caminadas very fast by using this video.

As per this tape if you're a beginner stay away. Good instructors always count "1,2,3,,5,6,7," while showing you the exact steps/footing. As an instructor Jose Neglia doesn't even know how to count - she says "quick, quick, slow,,quick, quick, slow". Not only is that really bad instruction, she furthermore often loses the tempo when she says "quick, quick, slow" which confuses the beginner even more. One more thing, she instructs the dance steps very quickly "quick, quick, slow" then demonstrates it very quickly. If you are a beginner there's no way you'll enjoy this tape.

The Cuban Motion, looks a little odd in slow motion, but Vicki pulls it off, can't say the same about her partner however. It helps make the dance and they certainly give you enough instruction on how to do it, probably too much for my liking though. Anyone will know the basics after watching this video, just wish more moves were shown. Would buy an intermediate or advanced tape if they offered it. Need more moves ! Still deserves a 4 star rating for it's value to learn the basics of this wonderful Latin dance.

Night Club Cha Cha ASIN: B00004I9YQ Customer's Rating: 5 Summary: Of all the cha-cha videos I've seen this is the best Comments: I've had very little luck finding cha-cha dance video's, and most of them show the same basic steps over and over. This video is the exception, I'd rate this as Josie's best video in terms of production and content. The routines are well thought out and explained. The style of cha-cha shown is the same one I learned and see practice in clubs here in Texas, so no complaints there. Overall this video packs a huge bang for the buck. 70 minutes with the mans, then woman's part explained.

SALSA: Advanced Variations ASIN: B00004RY92 Customer's Rating: 5 Summary: Great choreography and very professional Comments: This salsa video that features moves by Rogelio Moreno and Josie Neglia displays some unique salsa steps that have been mastered by both with the utmost technique. Of course Rogelio and Josie make the steps look smooth and effortless however don't be fooled this is some great salsa coreographed by two great dancers. The video is well organized as it is broken down into 4 sections: footwork, turns, dips and drops, lifts and flips. In each section the moves are first shown without music and then with music thus giving you and idea of how the moves flow together with music once mastered. The explanations by Josie and Rogelio are clear and their movements are well syncronized as they display each step in the routines. The only downfall in this video is that the steps need to be broken down a bit more. Although geared toward advanced salsa dancers some of the moves require a secondary breakdown analysis. Instead the viewer will have to rewind several times in order to see the steps over again. Overall the video is an excellent display of very advanced salsa variations and if you do manage to master some of their art work you will be the envy of many in any salsa nightclub around the world. I highly recommend the purchase of this video for advanced salsa dancers.

They offer options on several of the steps. The video is full of some fairly common moves. They show both Men's & Ladies styling for the moves. Overall this Salsa video is a very nice easy to learn flowing Salsa. I like and use this style. The teaching in this video is also good for those practicing without partners as the steps are broken down into Male and Female parts very clearly. The video teaches all the standard techniques you need for basic social Salsa. The videos is also a great series for the person who is just starting to learn by video

Tango Magic ASIN: 0738920916 Customer's Rating: 3 Summary: Not what I'd hoped... Comments: Less about dancing and too much about Pablo Ziegler. Best appreciated if you like jazz and the music of Astor Piazolla. I was looking for dance and there are a couple of excellant numbers here but most are too staged and jazzed up. The director spends too much time showing us the sultry and not enough time on full body views of the dancers.
